Nippon-Tackle serves end customers and specialist dealers in German-speaking countries as a competent partner when it comes to Japanese high-end fishing tackle and accessories.
The idea to found Nippon-Tackle came to Fabian Kraft during a one-year stay in Japan from 2007-2008 as part of his studies in business administration and Japanese studies.
The enthusiastic angler found a far greater range of high-end fishing products on site than was previously available in Europe. Shortly after returning to his native Germany, the idea was directly implemented with the aim of importing the high-quality and excellent products himself and thus making them available to customers in German-speaking countries.
The aim was not only to introduce new and biologically compatible baits, but also previously unknown rigs such as the Neko-Rig. In addition to regular events and product presentations at local specialist retailers, Nippon-Tackle also holds seminars at angling clubs to introduce and promote modern lure fishing in all its facets.
Nippon-Tackle was officially founded in 2009 after some preparations. Right from the start, Nippon-Tackle was characterized by competent and friendly customer service, fast shipping and service as well as innovative products and ideas. Due to a trend reversal in the fishing scene and a steady increase in demand for high-quality fishing products, in 2012 the converted basement and garage, which had previously served as an office and warehouse, were exchanged for a 600 m2 warehouse with adjoining office space in Fronhausen, Hesse, just a few minutes from the B3 between Marburg and Giessen. Since then, Birgit Kraft has also been an integral part of the company.
In addition to many small brands, Nippon-Tackle imports the brands Bait Breath, Bassday, Fish-Arrow, Geecrack, GOSEN, Graphiteleader, Souther, Tailwalk, Tsunekichi, VanFook, YGK, ZipBaits and many more exclusively for its customers. Thanks to many years of intensive cooperation with Japanese manufacturers, Nippon-Tackle has also been able to incorporate its own product suggestions into the development process and have products, models and colors specially adapted for the European market.
Nippon-Tackle's products can be seen and tested every year at small and large trade fairs in Kassel, Vienna, Duisburg, Neuss, Meschede, Bremen, Magdeburg, Friedrichshafen and Berlin, among others. At EFFTEX 2013 in Vienna, Nippon-Tackle won the “Best New Hard Lure Award” with the Huzz Buzz 92 from Tsunekichi.
